New anime theatrical feature film titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System has been officially announced! The massive announcement dropped at the Crunchyroll panel during Anime Expo. Alongside the announcement, the studio released an official concept video that immediately excited fans. This Solo Leveling: Beyond the System movie project will serve as a direct cinematic continuation following the events of Season 2 (Arise from the Shadow).It is being co-produced by Aniplex, Crunchyroll, and D&C Media, and the animation for the movie will be handled by A-1 Pictures.

While details regarding the specific storyline haven’t been revealed yet, But the production committee has confirmed that the movie bridges the narrative gap immediately following Season 2. Simply means Solo Leveling: Beyond the System film acts as a seamless bridge between Season 2 (Arise from the Shadow) and what will eventually be Season 3. If the film closely follows the manhwa’s plot, we can expect to see the Double Dungeon Arc (also known as the Return to the Temple Arc. Furthermore, since the movie serves as a direct link between Season 2 and Season 3, it will also touch upon the foundational elements of the Ahjin Guild Arc. Jinwoo returns to the Cartenon Temple the very place where his traumatic journey began to finally confront the Architect and uncover the full truth behind “The System.”
